Smart thoughts. Honest stories. Questionable amounts of animal print.

Hi! I'm Dr. Stephanie Rose--

a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician, lifelong talker, unexpected writer, enthusiastic wearer of animal print, and woman with a lot of colorful stripes.

Welcome, Fellow Dreamer

I’m a physician, but I’m also a mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, employee, reader, writer, speaker, and human being trying to do her best.

I love pink, curly hair, bright colors, clothes, animal print, and occasionally being wonderfully superficial. I “friend” hard, even when finding time to be a friend feels nearly impossible. I’m loyal, loud, loving, a little nutty, and always a work in progress.

I believe there is freedom in remembering that none of us has everything figured out. We are all learning as we go—and we’re allowed to have some fun along the way.

Smart convos don't have to feel stuffy.

Medicine can be confusing. Life can be heavy. Learning about either one shouldn’t feel like sitting through a painfully boring lecture.

Stephanie brings medical experience, personal perspective, humor, and genuine connection to conversations designed for real people.

Let's Talk,

Obviously.

Have a speaking opportunity, collaboration, media request or story you think I should hear?

Send me a note. I love meaningful conversations, thoughtful questions and a good reason to connect.

The Vanilla
Ice Cream Rule

When I was little, my dad taught me a lesson I still live by, and now teach my own children:

“I like vanilla ice cream. I don’t like chocolate.”

Chocolate may have been the popular choice, but I wanted vanilla.

It was a simple lesson with a much bigger meaning: know what you like, speak clearly, ask for what you need, and don’t be afraid to have a different answer.

For the record, I still prefer vanilla.
